Question About the Rocky steps

by Last But Not Least »

Are they open to runners night and day still, like in the movie? I have limited time in the US. I've always wanted to run them, but don't think I want to spend that much time in Philadelphia as I'm not all that interested in American Colonial history, and that seems to be the big draw for Philadelphia. I was thinking I might take the train in from New York, run and then come back. Or am I missing something?

They don't ever close! These are steps in front of a museum on a public place. So you can run 'em whenever you want. Though you might want to stick around and have a cheesesteak (Rocky downed one of those in the film) and maybe go into the museum, which is one of the best in the nation for art. Have fun however you do Philly.
