10 Top Travel Twitterers for News and Tips

As more travelers turn to expressing themselves in 140-character tweets, Twitter (www.twitter.com) has become the go-to place for travel news, deals, and conversations between travel enthusiasts. Of the 300-plus people that I follow on Twitter, all can be categorized in a number of lists.

My first list of the 10 Top Travel Twitterers focused on frequent fliers who offer great travel tips. This time, it's about those who tweet the latest travel news before anyone else.

<strong>Who to Follow:</strong> <a href="http://twitter.com/elliottdotorg" target="_blank">@Elliottdotorg</a><br><br>If you read travel articles frequently, I guarantee that you have read at least one story from Chris Elliott. This guy is the Ryan Seacrest of travel. He is everywhere with his consumer columns for MSNBC, Tribune Media Services, <em>National Geographic Traveler</em>, and <em>The Washington Post</em> (and Frommers.com, too).
